For Australians, the battle for the French village of Pozieres was a significant and sacrificial campaign in the middle of the Battle of the Somme. A memorial cross was constructed from timbers of the destroyed Cathedral and later found a home at St Luke's, Clovelly.
The Coogee Randwick Clovelly RSL sub-branch and St Luke's invite the Randwick area to join us for this special commemoration of the centenary of Pozieres.
A children's programme will run concurrently in the church hall. Morning tea will be served afterwards.
Date/Time: Sunday 24th July, 9.15am
Location: St Luke's Anglican church, Clovelly (map)
RSVP: We invite any dignitaries or groups to please RSVP to David Cohen on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0466-967762.
