Brave Conversations: Talking with your kids about sex

Your tween lives in a super-sexualised world fed by the media, internet and peer pressure, where the average age of first exposure to porn is just 12. Life for our kids and for parents is more challenging than ever!

Dr Weerakoon will share insights from her new book for tweens, though parents of younger children and teens will benefit.

Dr Patricia Weerakoon is a medical doctor, sexologist, therapist and author. She'll discuss the issues that your child is facing: sexual development and the neuroscience behind it, body image, identity. Dr Weerakoon is an honorary senior lecturer for the University of Sydney's Masters in Sexual Health - her expertise, enthusiasm, frankness and humour have made her a sought-after speaker and social commentator.

Tickets: $10 > Register below, Add to Cart, then Checkout & Pay to make your booking. Bookings essential (no cash payments on the night).

There is a free Year 6-9 programme in the hall next door, as part of Clovelly Youth.

Dr Weerakoon's books on sexuality for teens, tweens and adults will be available for purchase on the night.
